IMTEC's Board of Directors

Stiftelsen IMTEC is governed by a dedicated board responsible for ensuring the foundation's effective management.



The board comprises six members and employee representatives:


Jørn Skovsgaard – Chairperson

  • - Former senior advisor at the Danish Ministry of Education and chair of OECD's Education 2030 initiative.
  • - Currently serves as director and CEO of Counter Current Consult.

Sigrun K. Ertesvåg – Board Member

  • - Professor of educational psychology and R&D leader at the National Center for Learning Environment and Behavioral Research at the University of Stavanger.
  • - Professor II at the Department of Education at Volda University College.
  • - Research focuses on implementing change processes and organizational development in kindergartens and schools.

Nina Sandberg – Board Member
- Secretary General of the Norwegian Association of Higher Education Institutions.
- Holds a cand.polit degree from the University of Oslo.
- Former researcher at NIFU, focusing on primary and higher education.
- Served as mayor of Nesodden municipality (2011–2017) and as a Member of Parliament (2017–2021).

Peter Ulholm – Board Member
- Director of LearnLab Denmark.
- Career dedicated to school development and educational change.
- Works on integrating technology in education based on pedagogy and learning research.
- Member of OECD's Group of National Experts on School Resources.

Anne Berit Emstad – Board Member
- Professor of school leadership and innovation leader at the Department of Teacher Education at NTNU.
- Conducted research projects on school leadership, cultural schools, school evaluation, novice teachers, and teacher education.
- Participates in national and international research projects and networks.


Vigdis Nordahl Hansen – Staff Representative
- Senior advisor at IMTEC.
